Description

Create festive and adorable Oreo Snowman Cookies perfect for holiday celebrations. These treats combine Golden Double Stuf Oreos coated in smooth white chocolate, decorated with candy eyes, noses, and earmuffs for a fun, snowy look that kids and adults will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Oreos and Coating

  • 2 (10 oz.) bags Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers or white candy melts
  • 24 Double Stuf Golden Oreos

Decorations

  • 168 black sugar pearl sprinkles
  • 24 orange tic tacs
  • 2 ounces pack sour punch straws cut in half
  • 48 M&Ms

Instructions

  1. Prepare the workspace. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set them aside to catch the coated cookies as they dry.
  2. Melt the white chocolate. Place the white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Coat the Oreos. Dip each Golden Oreo into the melted white chocolate, ensuring an even coating. Lift out with a fork, tap gently on the bowl edge to remove excess chocolate, and place on the lined baking sheet. Work in small batches to keep the chocolate melted and manageable.
  4. Decorate the faces. Add two black sugar pearls on each Oreo for eyes. Place one orange tic tac in the center as the nose. Arrange five black sugar pearls below the nose in a smile shape to create the mouth.
  5. Make the earmuffs. Attach a 2-inch piece of sour punch straw horizontally as the earmuff strap, holding in place for about 10 seconds to allow the chocolate to firm up. Then, attach one M&M candy on each side of the strap for earmuffs, using matching colors for each side.
  6. Chill the cookies. Place the decorated Oreos in the fridge on the baking sheets and chill for 10 minutes or until the chocolate is fully set and firm.
  7. Serve or store. Once set, the Oreo snowmen are ready to enjoy or store in an airtight container as desired.

Notes

  • Store these Oreo Snowman Cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. Separate layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking and preserve decoration integrity.
  • To make a smaller batch, melt only a small portion of chocolate as needed to avoid waste and save the rest for later use.
  • If black sugar pearls are unavailable for the mouth, substitute with black confetti sprinkles or mini chocolate chips for a similar effect.
  • Orange sprinkles can replace the orange tic tacs as the snowman’s nose. Specialty snowman cookie decoration kits with black pearls and carrot-shaped sprinkles are also great alternatives.
  • Get creative with earmuffs using Skittles, peppermint candies, or Spree candies. Twizzlers pull n peel can replace the straw strap for a different look.
  • Use cookie icing in orange and black to draw the snowman’s face instead of candy decorations for a fun variation.
  • Try other Oreo flavors like Mega Stuf, mint, peanut butter, or peppermint to customize your snowman cookies.
  • Attach the snowmen to lollipop sticks and wrap in cellophane tied with ribbons for a charming gift or party favor.
