			For the Garlic Parmesan Butter
- 1 pound salted butter, softened
 - 5 cloves garlic, grated
 - ½ cup finely grated parmesan cheese
 - 1 lemon, zest and juice
 - 1 teaspoon salt
 - 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
 - ¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped, optional, for serving
 
For the Chicken Skewers
- 3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 2-inch strips
 - 2 teaspoons salt
 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
 
Instructions
- Prepare the Garlic Parmesan Butter: Melt the butter in a medium-sized bowl, then add the grated garlic, parmesan cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine thoroughly. The butter sauce may firm up while you prepare the rest of the recipe, which is normal.
 - Prepare the skewers: Trim the wooden skewers so that they fit comfortably in your air fryer basket. Heavy duty poultry shears work best for a clean and easy cut.
 - Assemble the chicken skewers: Thread 6-7 pieces of chicken thigh strips tightly onto each wooden skewer until all the chicken is used. Season each skewer evenly with salt and black pepper.
 - Brush with butter and start cooking: Using a basting brush, apply the garlic parmesan butter generously on all sides of each chicken skewer.
 - Air fry the chicken: Place the skewers in the air fryer at 350°F. Cook for 5 minutes, then remove and baste again with more butter. Return to air fryer and cook for another 5 minutes.
 - Final cooking and basting: Baste the skewers one more time with the butter and cook for a final 5 minutes, for a total cook time of 15 minutes. The chicken should be golden brown and cooked through.
 - Finishing touches: After cooking all the skewers, pour any garlic parmesan butter pooled at the bottom of the air fryer over the cooked chicken. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges for added zest. Enjoy your meal!

- Use heavy duty poultry shears to trim wooden skewers cleanly for fitting in the air fryer.
 - If available, metal skewers compatible with your air fryer are an excellent alternative to wooden skewers.
 - For a quicker option, you can cook the chicken nugget-style without skewers; just watch the cooking time closely as it will be faster.
 - Make sure to baste the chicken thoroughly during the cooking process for maximum flavor and moisture.
