Instructions

  1. Cut avocado: Cut the avocado in half, remove the peel and pit completely, then slice the avocado halves into 1/4-inch thick slices carefully to keep the slices intact for coating.
  2. Prep coatings: In a small shallow bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Pour non-dairy milk into a second small bowl. Place panko breadcrumbs into a third small bowl.
  3. Coat avocado slices: Working one slice at a time, use one hand to dredge each avocado slice in the flour mixture ensuring even coverage, then dip into the non-dairy milk. Immediately transfer the slice to the panko breadcrumbs and coat both sides thoroughly. Arrange the coated slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  4. Spray and air fry: Lightly spray the coated avocado slices with oil spray to help achieve a golden crisp finish. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10 to 12 minutes without preheating, until they turn golden brown and crispy. Season lightly with additional salt and pepper while hot.
