Description

A vibrant and creamy 10-minute cranberry jalapeno dip featuring whipped dairy-free cream cheese, fresh jalapeños, red and green onions, and a layer of whole berry cranberry sauce. Perfect as a festive appetizer served with crackers or chips.

Ingredients

Scale

Dip Base

  • 16 oz dairy-free cream cheese (2 8 oz containers), or regular cream cheese if not dairy-free
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, seeds removed and finely diced
  • 2-3 Tbsp finely diced red onion
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions plus more for garnish

Topping

  • 14 oz can cranberry sauce with whole berries

Instructions

  1. Prepare cream cheese mixture: Bring the cream cheese to room temperature, then whip using a handheld mixer until smooth and fluffy. Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, lime juice, diced jalapeños, and diced red and green onions. Mix thoroughly until everything is well combined.
  2. Assemble dip base: Transfer the whipped cream cheese mixture to your chosen serving platter and spread it evenly to form the base layer of the dip.
  3. Add cranberry topping: Spoon the cranberry sauce over the cream cheese layer and spread gently with a spoon to create a uniform top layer.
  4. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle additional chopped green onions on top for garnish. Serve immediately with your favorite crackers, chips, or bread for dipping.

Notes

  • You can substitute regular cream cheese if you are not dairy free.
  • For gluten-free options, pair with Simple Mills rosemary or sea salt crackers.
  • A food processor can be used instead of a handheld mixer to whip the cream cheese.
  • This dip keeps well in the refrigerator for 3-4 days; prepare the cream cheese mixture ahead and add cranberry topping just before serving.
  • Double the recipe to accommodate larger gatherings.
  • Serve with a variety of dippers such as pretzel chips, pita chips, tortilla chips, potato chips, or baguettes.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container refrigerated for up to 3-4 days.
