Main Ingredients
- 1 box Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)
- 8 ounces white chocolate or candy melts
- 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles
- 3 tablespoons red candy melts for drizzling (optional)
- Green sanding sugar for decoration
Instructions
- Prepare the Cake Crumbs: Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them in a large bowl. Use a handheld mixer to mix the cakes until a crumbly dough forms. Mix in the festive sprinkles thoroughly.
- Shape the Truffles: Using a tablespoon, scoop portions of the crumbly mixture and roll each between the palms of your hands into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat until all the mixture is shaped into truffles.
- Melt the White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave or using a double boiler until smooth.
- Dip the Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each cake ball into the melted white chocolate, coating it completely. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off before placing the coated truffle back onto the baking sheet.
- Melt the Red Candy Melts: Melt the red candy melts in a piping bag or ziplock bag in the microwave in 30-second increments, massaging the bag between heating to ensure even melting.
- Decorate the Truffles: Snip the tip of the piping or ziplock bag and drizzle the red candy melts over the white chocolate-coated truffles. Sprinkle green sanding sugar on top immediately.
- Set the Truffles: Place the decorated truffles in the fridge for a few minutes to allow the chocolate and decorations to set. Serve and enjoy your festive holiday treat!
Notes
- You can substitute white chocolate with candy melts in other festive colors for variety.
- If you don't have red candy melts, use colored gel icing for the drizzle decoration.
- Be sure to chill the cake balls before dipping to prevent them from falling apart.
- Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them fresh up to a week.
- Use a double boiler for melting chocolate to avoid burning if you prefer not to use a microwave.
