Description

Delightfully festive Brownie Christmas Trees made by stacking brownie circles with a luscious green buttercream frosting, decorated with holiday sprinkles and a star topper. These easy-to-make treats are perfect for holiday parties and celebrations, combining rich chocolatey brownies with creamy frosting to resemble Christmas trees.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Base

  • 1 box brownie mix (any brand), baked and cooled
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3 round cookie/biscuit cutters in varying sizes

Green Frosting

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • green food coloring (amount as needed to tint frosting)

Decoration

  • holiday sprinkles (quantity as desired)
  • yellow star decorations (quantity as desired)
  • disposable piping bag
  • Wilton Star tip 1M

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Frosting: In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract. Add milk one tablespoon at a time, mixing well, until the frosting reaches a smooth, pipeable consistency. Add green food coloring gradually until the frosting is evenly tinted green.
  2. Fill the Piping Bag: Attach the Wilton Star tip 1M to a disposable piping bag and fill the bag with the prepared green frosting.
  3. Cut Out Brownie Circles: Using the three different-sized round cookie cutters, gently cut out circles from the cooled baked brownie sheet. These will form the layers of the Christmas tree.
  4. Assemble the Trees: Starting with the largest brownie circle, pipe a generous amount of frosting on top and stack the medium-sized brownie circle on it. Repeat by frosting the next layer and topping it with the smallest brownie circle to create a tree shape.
  5. Decorate the Trees: Pipe additional frosting on the top brownie to simulate the tree top. Place a yellow star decoration on top, then sprinkle holiday sprinkles over the frosted layers for festive flair.
  6. Repeat Assembly: Continue assembling the remaining brownie circles into Christmas trees and decorate each in the same manner.

Notes

  • Ensure the brownies are completely cooled before cutting to maintain clean edges and easy handling.
  • For a firmer frosting, chill the frosting briefly before piping.
  • You can use different colored sprinkles to add more festive decorations to the trees.
  • If you prefer, substitute vegetable oil in the brownie mix with melted butter for richer flavor.
  • Store assembled brownie trees in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
